The brewery and restaurant Omaka has recently opened their doors, situated in the University of Architecture’s old historic building on Östermalm in Stockholm. Brewery master Hedda Spendrup takes the family companys legacy further and will broaden the view of beer and explore flavor combinations with the help of the restaurant. Behind the concept stands Interior Nation, which in consultation with Axel Spendrup has created a welcoming, creative and irregular concept with organic shapes, strong colors and contrasts between materials. LSI has produced and delivered all special furnishings, such as a 12 meter long L-shaped bar, a wavy sofa of almost 5 meters, an old-style merchant counter, site-built shelves and a number of service stations in solid oak with hand-blown glass. The project involved many complex materials in interaction where our project managers and carpenters delivered an interior adapted to the concept’s expression and high finish.
