In the new landmark Nodi just outside Gothenburg, Wakakuu has opened its new showroom and store. The building, which is 25 meters high, designed by White architects, has a frame made entirely of exposed glulam. The ground floor of the house has an impressive ceiling height of 7 meters with large glass sections in all directions.<\/p>\n
We at LSI have had the privilege of manufacturing the interior for the entire ground floor, where the Wakakuu brand has its showroom. The concept is linked to the building’s entirety and design, which can be clearly seen on the over 80 sqm large panel wall, whose massive ribs in Douglas fir line with other elements.<\/p>\n
Other furnishings include a cash register in tiles, a coffee bar in Douglas fir, and over 2.5 meter high doors that are veneered in Douglas fir to harmonize with the wall. A large site-built shelf has also been integrated into the panel.<\/p>\n
Mobile podiums for display and a jewelry box in solid Douglas fir is also something that can be seen in the airy room.<\/p>\n
Implementing this project together with Next Step, from procurement, design and product development to production, delivery and assembly, has been an exciting project with high demands without compromises, with a focus on quality and materials.<\/p>\n
